ASHLEY RAO HANDKNITS

Nautical colorblock takes a whimsical turn in this A-line girl’s tunic.  Garter stitch ridges connect raised, bobble-like dots (formed by short rows), creating a playful, modern pattern of textured stripes.  A pair of asymmetrical goldfish (worked as stranded colorwork) create a focal point at the hem, and are reflected in the orange patterning at the collar.  The buttoned neck is finished with an applied I-cord edging, while the cuffs and hem use a simple rolled edge.
